Princess

We may have a a small problem with our daughter Ava. Well according to her we do not have a daughter named Ava. She seems to think her name is Princess. If you ask her what her name is she will say Princess. If she sees a picture of herself she will point to it and say Princess. Or if I call her a name like pumpkin or stinker she will correct me and say no " I Princess". Or when Owen teases her and calls her weird names she will say "No I Princess" and just to be sure she will come find Luke or I to verify that yes indeed her name is Princess. When Ava and I go to her ECFE class we sing a welcome song and each child is asked what their name is and then we sing a welcome song to them. Yep, when the teacher asks Ava what her name is she says Princess! So we may have legally change her name. Just kidding! Yes she is our Princess and we love her!

10 years

Yesterday was Luke and my ten year Anniversary. No, we have not been married for 10 years yet. Rather yesterday was our ten year anniversary to when Luke finally worked up the nerve to stop flirting with me and actually asked me to be his girlfriend! I am so grateful he did because I love him to the moon and back! I still remember the nights we worked at the local grocery store spending all kinds of time talking and flirting with each other while stocking shelves, cashiering, and bagging groceries. Luke was always so sweet he would make me dinner in the toaster ovens while we were on break together! It is a amazing how many things you can make in a toaster oven! Oh, the fun times we had working at the grocery store with all of our friends and my little brother too! Memories that will never ever go away! Like Jenny and I dancing on the check out counters. The next time you see Luke ask him what he and our friend Nick did on the roof of the grocery store one night! Or about what he did with the box crusher and how mad I got at him! Or the explosion he and my brother created! Or, well I could go on and on and on.

Socks

When I have a load of clean socks to fold Owen always helps me. He separates every ones socks into piles. So there is usually 5 piles when we he is done. This makes it easier to fold them and put them away. Well Luke doesn't like his socks folded he just wants them thrown in his sock drawer. (That would drive me crazy I like my socks to be matched perfectly together) Any way so after Owen sorts them all out I grab Luke's pile and put them in his drawer then move on to all the rest of them. The last time I did a load of socks I was missing one of Owen's and Ezra's. No big deal I thought they will show up in the next load of laundry. So I moved on end of story. Well Monday night Luke went to grab a pair of socks and pulled out one of his and one of Owen's. Owen's missing sock was found. Then last night Luke grabbed two socks out and found one of Ezra's in his drawer. So Ezra's missing sock was found too! I just had to laugh both days at the little mistake Owen made. The boy's socks do look so much alike. Just a little off in the size. Can you imagine Luke's big foot trying to fit into Ezra's tiny sock!

Cleaning Up

Owen wanted me to take a picture of him and Ava doing a great job cleaning up their toys so here it is!

Ezra

Ezra had his 2 month check up the other day. He is doing great! He got his shots and didn't even cry to much. He weighs 14lbs. 4oz. and is 22.75inches long. (YES he is a big boy) When Owen was 2 months old he weighed 14lbs. and was 24inches long. Ava was 10lbs. 11oz. and was 22 inches long at 2 months. Any way while I was changing Ezra's diaper today I couldn't resist to take some pictures of his adorable chunky legs. oh I just love them!

Yoga!

Ava doing the Yoga moves Daddy taught her!

Well I have been going to Yoga classes on and off for a year and a half now. I love Yoga! Luke enjoys making fun of Yoga telling me how easy it is by doing different weird movements with his body. Even the kids think it is funny and join him in doing so called Yoga moves. He tells me that he can out Yoga me any day of the week. So every Tuesday I ask him if he wants to go and he always has some excuse why he can't go usually because we don't have someone to watch the kids. (Men do go to this class with their wives almost every week) So I called Auntie Rita to see if she could come and watch the kids for us while we went to Yoga. She came and we went to Yoga class! He did good for his first time. Luke isn't very flexible so it was fun to watch him do some of the movements. I didn't even laugh at him, well until close to the end when he farted once, but I controlled myself and just looked at him and smiled. I don't know if anyone else heard it. Then at the end of the class we do some relaxation stuff and during that time I lost it I couldn't stop laughing about him farting earlier. I don't think anyone heard me laughing but I couldn't stop. Yesterday morning when we talked on the phone he said he wasn't sore at all. Then last night he said it just hit him and he was sore. Now this morning he emailed me from work and said Help I hurt. I emailed him and said I was glad to hear it. I wonder if he will go again next Tuesday with me!

Cable

If you look close this is our family. Luke is sitting on the toilet, I am having tea at the dining room table with Grandma, Owen is sitting at the kitchen table with Ezra, and Ava is outside on her 4-wheeler!

We have had our TV turned off for over a week now! It has been wonderful. The first two days were hard for Owen but since then he hasn't asked to watch anything. Well yesterday a guy came and unhooked our cable! Yep, all TV reception gone, out of here, goodbye, so long, farewell. Just a loud black and white fuss on our TV from now on. From now on if we want to watch something it will have to be a movie!
What do we do you ask? Well all kinds of stuff, color, play toys, play outside, create things out in the garage, work on our addition, have head stand competitions, go swimming, exercise, clean, read books and best of all play tickle torture with our kids!

New Toy

Luke bought this Kitty Cat for the kids about two weeks ago. We had one already but it was older than this one and it didn't run. Well Luke sold that one for the exact amount that he bought the new one for! Owen loves to ride it and loves to purposely run into snow banks even more. He thinks it is funny when Luke has to come and pull him out!

Late Sunday morning we packed up our van and went ice fishing. Grandma Annette came too! We ended up only having one hole for all of us to share because the ice auger broke. We didn't mind at all we just took turns with two lines down one hole! We also did some exploring around the lake. Ava had us doing "Ring Around the Rosie". Grandma made a snow Angel. Owen chopped ice chunks. Ava threw herself onto the ice and had a temper tantrum. It was quite a site, and when I said all right we will just leave her here Owen freaked out and started pulling her by her jacket back to the van. I stopped him from dragging her and explained to him that I wouldn't really leave her there. He really loves his little sister a lot. We only caught two fish. Little perch that could have been used as bait. Luke caught the smallest one. My Mom caught the "biggest" little one. We listened to the Vikings game on the radio at my Mom's request! I read the local paper. Ezra slept the whole time we were gone only waking at one point to eat then back to sleep he went! We ate a picnic lunch in the van. Last but not least Ava learned how to go potty in a bucket. Fun was had by all!
