Mississippi River

After all three of the kids woke up from their nap on Sunday we drove to Grandma Annette's picked her up and went to a park to have a picnic. After eating and playing on the playground for a short while we got on a walking trail and took a leisurely walk alongside the Mississippi River. It was great to just let Owen and Ava go at their own pace and watch them do some exploring. Owen was happy to climb and jump off some huge rocks. Ava enjoyed throwing rocks into the water and watching a family of ducks. Ezra was content just watching the action while sitting in his stroller. All three of them loved splashing around in the water! I went a little overboard on the pictures for this post. I had a really hard time choosing which ones I wanted to share!

The New Look

As you can see my Blog has a new look. However as much as I really like my new background it has come to my attention that not every one's computer shows my new background the way mine does which frustrates me. So here is a picture of how I want my background to look on your computer screen....

Well minus the big glare from my flash of course! But, it is not a perfect world and your computer screen may show it differently than mine does the way Luke's and my Mom's does. So if you see a big white box that is chopping off the letters from the Bible verse at the top of the page behind the dandelions like Luke does it is not supposed to be there. Or if you don't see Our family picture and individual shots of each of us with a paragraph about us on the side of the screen you should and they shouldn't be scattered at the bottom of your screen the way my Mom sees them. But, oh well I just wanted to show you a picture of what I hope you are seeing because I am a dork like that! I was happy to hear this morning when I talked to my friend Jenny that she to sees what I do so at least someone gets to see what I want them too. Have a great day!

Parade Lunch Party

After the parade was over some of our family and friends ate lunch at Auntie Rita's!

Owen was the official lemonade server! At one point I had to pull him away from the lemonade container because he had about 10 glasses poured that no one was drinking, and well he just wanted to keep on filling up more cups!

Parade

It was parade day on Saturday. We watched all the action curbside at Auntie Rita's house with family and friends! Owen and Ava enjoyed the action and were over loaded with candy. We had a major parade break through with Owen this year keep reading to find out what it was...

Owen pointing and saying "oh wow" to the tractors that were heading our way!

The smelly horses are coming!
And, the parade breakthrough! Owen looking and even talking to a clown. Owen has been extremely afraid of clowns and people dressed up in masks since he was a baby. So afraid that he would get worked up at the sight of them and we would have to leave places. Well, not this year! Although he wasn't all smiles and giggles when he saw them at least he could look at them and even say a few words to one of them without being terrified. I was so proud of him!
