Our Tuesday

This morning the kids and I headed to our church. The kids played with some friends while I got to talk with other Mama's about the book we are all reading (Have a New Kid by Friday)! Which might I add is a very good book. I highly recommend it. Luke even likes it. I have been reading it to him. My thoughts were if I want to change some of the ways I parent Luke should know what is going on and be on the same page as I am. We have learned a lot from this book now it is just a matter of putting it into practice!

Any way after we got home we ate lunch watched Toy Story 2 and then...

spent some time doing the Limbo! The kids loved it and I enjoyed watching them!

While Ava and Ezra took their naps I read Owen Jigsaw Jones Super Special #4 The Case of the Santa Claus Mystery. He of course loved it just like all the other 35 Jigsaw Jones books we have read to him. After the book he spent some time playing on the computer. He loves the PBS Kids site especially the Curious George site!
After dinner we spent some time playing in Owen's room. We also talked quite a bit about Halloween and all the rain and wind we have been having!
...And, now I have a confession to make. In a weak moment while grabbing a few groceries the other day at Target I could not stop myself from buying something that I have been resisting for a long, long time. I'm talking years here! And, I need to add that I was strong with my resistance in the past being that this item is hard to ignore. I am near it every time I buy our family a new huge jar of Skippy Natural Creamy Peanut butter. Which is quite often... because we go through an embarrassingly huge amount of peanut butter at our house. So, yes every time I stand in front of the peanut butter shelf at the store this item is screaming at me to buy it from where it sits just two rows higher on the shelf. So, like I said in a very weak moment I grabbed it off the shelf and tossed it in the cart. What is it you ask? Oh the ever so yummy, creamy, irresistible, sweet, can't get enough of it nutella! Like I said I have been avoiding it for a long time only because I new I would love it and want to eat it all the time. Sure enough that is exactly how I feel. I have been searching for things to put it on ever since. Sadly enough I am hiding it from my kids because I don't want to share it.

So far this trio is how I LOVE it the most!

I'm pretty sure that I should never, ever buy another container of nutella again in my life. Nor should I have bought the one pictured above. I bought this because I convinced myself that it was healthy. Let me tell you it looses its healthiness the way I want to eat it. Which is all the time in case if you were wondering. Oh, nutella you are going to make me a very chubby mama. Not that there is any thing wrong with chubby mama's by the way. I just can't afford to buy a new closet full of bigger clothes if I stop fitting into the ones I currently have. With that confession being said I am off to bed!

Outside Fun

On Sunday we went to visit Great Grandpa Harvey and Great Grandma Joan. After becoming restless from playing in the house I took the kids outside to play for a while! The kids got to play with their cousin Olivia because it just so happened to be that her family also went to visit the Greats!

exploring in the woods!
this swing is always a hit!
the kids checked on Roger and Matthew several times as they were busy with harvesting corn.
they also climbed on the big tree that Owen always climbs when we are there!

We watched the cows for a long time.

and of course I snapped a bunch of pictures of the kids by the white shed that I love so much!

Another Apple Orchard!

On Saturday the kids and I went to another Apple Orchard! This time we went with my Mom, Skylar, Grayson, Hayden, Kristin and Kristin's mom Becky. It was a beautiful sunny day.

We checked out the petting zoo first!

Then we moved on to the pumpkin patch!

Next the kids spent some time painting pumpkins!
They really enjoyed painting!

After that we checked out the round bales for a while!

Then a ride on hay wagon through the apple orchard!

Before we left we made one more stop at the petting zoo to see the animals again! On our way home we all stopped at McDonald's for a late lunch. What a fun day we all had!
